When to get married in Miami?
When you think of a wedding in Miami, you think of a sunny and warm day, you never think of having to postpone your wedding due to a hurricane. We always advise our clients to really think well about the Florida weather when choosing their wedding date, especially if you are having any part of your wedding outdoors.
Our absolutely favorite months are December through March. Why you might ask? Well because we’re completely out of hurricane season by December and the weather is still nice in March, that means you have a higher chance of not having rain on your wedding day. Months like May through September are very unpredictable when it comes to weather, so you’ll definitely need a tent. But beyond the chance of rain, the heat and humidity in those months can be very intense, so unless you’re hosting an all indoor wedding (from Ceremony to Reception), you as well as your guests, will be very uncomfortable on the day of.
We always recommend having a plan B for your Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and/or Reception (if they are being hosted outdoors). Venues like The Biltmore Hotel, The National Hotel, and W Miami all have options for plan B, so make sure your venue has one!
